                              Medical coding is the process of converting a patient's healthcare operations into alphanumeric codes. These codes provide information about the patient's diagnosis, treatments, services, or supplies received, as well as any atypical circumstances or medical conditions that influenced such treatments and services.
 
                                  For coding purposes, medical coders employ a set of given codes such as ICD, CPT, and HCPCS. The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes are a set of codes published and controlled by the World Health Organization (WHO). These codes are diagnostic codes, which contains, signs and symptoms, diagnosis of a patient, reason for illness and cure and other information of a patient. For instance ICD Codes, F45.0 denotes Somatization disorder. 

                   Somatic symptom disorder is diagnosed when a person is preoccupied with bodily symptoms such as pain, weakness, or shortness of breath to the point where it causes considerable distress and/or issues functioning. Excessive thoughts, sentiments, and behaviors are associated with the physical symptoms. The physical symptoms may or may not be related to a confirmed medical illness, yet the individual is experiencing symptoms and believes they are ill.
