                                    Medical Coding is the transformation of a patients healthcare diagnosis, treatment received, diagnosis, prescriptions and more into alphanumeric codes.   • Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure that all documentation is precise and accurate.

  • Work with the billing department to ensure that all bills are paid on time. Communicate with insurance companies about coding issues and disagreements.
  • Submit statistics data for other departments' analysis and research.
  • Inquire with physicians and other health care workers regarding treatments or diagnostic tests provided to patients in relation to coding procedures.
